P.O.W.E.R. Surfers
(Patients Online for
Well-being, Education
and Research TM)
Patients and their families are surfing the World Wide Web in ever-increasing numbers in search of medical information. But many of the Web sites they visit are considered unreliable by health care professionals. And some patients who might benefit from a Web search do not have the equipment or the skills necessary to participate. P.O.W.E.R. Surfers was created to address these needs.
